What you will do:
Set overall marketing strategy for Upwave - our goals, our investments, our priorities
Oversee - through a mix of full-time and external resources - demand gen, events, marcom, product marketing, content marketing, and sales enablement.
Build our marketing tech stack, balancing cost & impact
Help our go-to-market team achieve their overall revenue goals, even with constrained resources
Hire our future marketing professionals, knowing when to ask an existing resource to wear an extra hat, when to find a contractor solution, and when to invest in a full-time employee
Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their objectives, report on results, and optimize future programs.
Represent the marketing function at the executive level of the company.
You have a deep B2B product marketing background in adtech or martech. You are more product-oriented and technical than most B2B marketers.
You have led the product marketing function at a successful company.
You are experienced enough with demand gen and marcomms that you can manage those functions.
You have hired and managed marketing employees, and have a strong viewpoint on how to hire for specific roles.
You know how to truly partner with our product leaders, so our marketing efforts are in sync with product strategy.
You know how to truly partner with our sales leaders, to create a successful go-to-market organization
You’re ROI-driven, and like to iterate-and-improve with all of your marketing efforts
Experience with multiple growth stage startups
Deep, multi-year experience in martech or adtech
Experience in marketing analytics
